Friday's Girls Tennis: Timberline Defeats Centralia

LACEY — Timberline swept the singles matches and won 2 of 3 doubles matches to earn a 4-1 win over Centralia in a nonleague girls tennis match here on Friday.

The lone win for Centralia came in No. 2 doubles, with Brynna Rooklidge and Danika Jensen defeating Alena Hunter and Lauren Sehutt, 6-3, 7-5.

Timberline’s Thanh Tran and Carlijn DeLeede defeated Carissa Kaut and Gracie Wiley, 2-6, 6-2, 6-0. Maya Parker and Brittany Cahill were able to win against Centralia’s Shannon Johnson and Noelle Pertzborn, 6-0, 6-4.



In singles, Angela Schuster took down Centralia’s Rachel Wilkerson, 6-0, 6-0 and Rachel Coulter won against the Tigers’ Angelica Vercoe, 6-2, 6-3.

Centralia (3-2) is off until Wednesday, April 11, hosting Black Hills in Centralia’s first league match of the season.
