College Volleyball: Centralia Earns First Win Over Everett

EVERETT — Centralia earned their first win of the season here after playing two matches on Tuesday in non-league college volleyball action.

The Blazers earned a 3-0 win against Everett on Tuesday night. No statistics for the match were available by the time of publication.

In Centralia’s first game on Tuesday, the Blazers fell in a close match to Skagit Valley, 3-2. Centralia won the first set 25-15, but Skagit Valley answered with a 25-14 second set to even the match.



The Blazers won the third set, 25-18. Skagit Valley bounced back once again with a 25-20 fourth set win and won the match with a 15-9 victory in the fifth set.

Macey Martin led Centralia with 10 kills and Olivia Mitten and Madelynn Skinner each tallied seven kills. Skinner also had 15 assists and Martin recorded 13 assists. Kinsie Miller and Rachel Wilkerson each had eight digs and Martin chipped in seven digs.

Centralia traveled to Shoreline on Wednesday to take on the Dolphins and Whatcom.The Blazers travel to Olympic on Friday to face Skagit Valley one more time at 12:30 p.m., followed by facing host Olympic at 5:30.
