College Volleyball: Centralia Drops Seven Matches Over Weekend

The Blazers would like to forget this weekend, losing all seven matches against Umpqua and during the NWAC Volleyball Showcase in Springfield, Ore., on Saturday and Sunday.

Centralia began the weekend in Roseburg, Ore., taking on Umpqua in a 3-0 defeat. Umpqua won with set scores of 25-14, 25-18 and 25-11.

Macey Martin had a team-high 14 digs and Olivia Mitten led the way with nine kills. Rahel Wilkerson added eight digs and Skylah Kunihisa and Evy Elting each recorded four kills.



On Saturday, Centralia started the volleyball showcase with a 2-0 loss against Clark. The Blazers also fell to Bellevue, North Idaho and Skagit Valley 2-0 in the other three matches on Saturday.

On Sunday, Lane defeated Centralia 2-0 in the morning match before the Blazers were able to win their first set of the season, but ultimately fell to Blue Mountain, 2-1.

Centralia travels to Everett on Tuesday to take on Skagit Valley at 5 p.m. before taking on host Everett at 8:30 p.m.
