College Soccer: Blazers Top Cougars 3-1

TUKWILA — After a tough loss in their opening friendly of the season, Centralia bounced back on Friday with a 3-1 win over Clackamas at the NWAC soccer friendlies at Starfire Sports Complex.

The Blazers scored all three goals in the first half. Cassity Colard scored unassisted in the fifth minute to put Centralia on the board. Amanda Jamison put one in the back of the net unassisted in the 31st minute and Shoshana Lewis also had an unassisted goal in the 37th minute for a 3-0 halftime advantage.

Clackamas ended Centralia’s shoutout hopes with a goal in the 75th minute by Alicia Hinojosa-Vejar.



Centralia goalkeeper Bethany Dinh made four saves in the win and Erin Connally played the second half and allowed one goal.

Centralia faces Portland on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. for a non-regional game in Oregon.
