CC Men: Clippers Pull Away in Second Half to Beat Centralia

OLYMPIA — The Clippers were hot from the free throw and pulled away in the second half here Wednesday night for a 92-77 win over Centralia in NWAC West Region men's basketball action.

South Puget Sound went 23 of 26 from the charity stripe after halftime, finished the game an efficient 26 of 29 (90 percent).

Centralia, meanwhile, had four players in double figures — led by 22 points and seven rebounds from Josiah Warner — but was outscored 48-38 in the second half.



Justin Fjeld added 16 points on 7 of 9 shooting, Dane Fjeld scored 12 and Joshua Broughton added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Blazers.

Dez Stoudamire led SPS with 25 points.

Centralia (1-14, 1-3 league) will host Lower Columbia on Saturday.
