Four Trailblazers hit double-digits on Thursday as Centralia beat Olympic, 80-68, in non-league NWAC men’s basketball action at Michael Smith Gymnasium.
Kobe Matsen led the host Blazers with 15 points on 6 of 9 shooting. L’Marcus Walker came off the bench to score 14 with five assists, Tyler Ashmore went 6 of 9 for 12 points and six rebounds, and Tyler Meadows added 12 on 4 of 5 shooting.
Centralia hit 28 of 50 from the field and 6 of 13 from long range, but dominated inside to the tune of a 40-28 rebounding advantage.
The Blazers went on a 23-0 run in the first half and led 44-22 by halftime, shooting 60 percent from the field (18 of 30) before the break.
Eli Reynolds led Olympic (3-10) with 13 points.
Centralia (4-9) hosts Bellevue at 4 p.m. on Saturday, then opens NWAC West Region action at Lower Columbia on Wednesday.
