Pe Ell-Willapa Valley’s Dakota Brooks was a standout on both sides of the plate and, for her work, picked up the Central 2B League’s MVP award in a vote of the league’s softball coaches.

The annual all-league team, released this week, features six local players on the first team.

Brooks, a junior pitcher, went 17-2 in the circle with 84 strikeouts, and hit a whopping .620 with seven home runs, 10 doubles and 35 RBIs for the Titans.

PWV finished third in the District 4 tournament and will enter the State 2B tournament on Friday.

Adna shortstop Shanay Dotson and outfielder Kendra Stajduhar, Napavine shortstop Erika Potter, Morton-White Pass pitcher Christine Robbins and third baseman Kylie Allen, and Onalaska second baseman Alicia Vint were all first-team picks.

Napavine’s Abbi Music, Adna’s Jenikka Poppe, Sam Rolfe, Lili Glover and Darian Humphrey, MWP’s Sharon Hazen, PWV’s Sidney Pollard and Onalaska’s Gabby Wright were all second-team picks.
