2B Girls Basketball: Trojans Run Past North Beach

PE ELL — The Trojans struck quickly, jumping out to a 20-point lead before the end of the first half in a 53-29 victory over North Beach during a Pacific 2B league girls basketball game here Monday night.

Annika Mason and Kammi Hill each scored 16 to lead Pe Ell, with Mason adding eight rebounds and seven steals.

The Trojans shot 44 percent (20 of 46) from the field and outrebounded the Hyaks 35-22.

Rachel Ward added nine points for Pe Ell.



“We played pretty good on defense,” said Trojan coach Randy Driver. “We pressed them pretty good in the first quarter and got a lead so we were able to get everyone in the game.”

Skyler Langston (2-8) led North Beach with 15 points.

Pe Ell (5-5) plays at Willapa Valley on Thursday.
