CATHLAMET — Adna scored 39 points in the first half and put it in cruise control in the second half in a 39-21 win over Wahkiakum in a non-divisional 2B football game here on Friday.

Cole Fay led the Pirates with 111 yards and thre scores on nine carries. Braden Thomas had 80 yards and a score on the ground and threw for 68 yards. Zander Blankenship caught one pass for 25 yards.

Adna had 277 yards of total offense and the Pirate defense was stout against the Mules, allowing just seven points in the first half to build a 39-7 lead at intermission.

Adna (2-0) travels to Kalama next Friday in a non-divisional contest.
