In only took 46 seconds for Centralia to score and it was a rout from there as the Tigers came away with the 4-0 nonleague victory over 3A Kelso Friday in the Hub City.

Luis Madrigil got Centralia on the board first to set the tone for the rest of the game.

“They made a defensive mistake and he exploited it and scored,” Tigers coach Sue Parke said.

He scored again in the 27th minute on an assist from Laurence Silva for the 2-0 halftime lead. Nine minutes after halftime, Silva notched a goal of his own on a shot from outside the 30.

“Tonight they played the most together as the team I’ve seen,” Parke said. “We were missing several players and brought up some JV players. They played together and were supporting each other.”

Dustin Davis rounded out Centralia’s scoring on an assist from Madrigil in the 60th minute.

“All in all there was a lot of good teamwork,” Parke said. “If we can do that, we can win games.”

Centralia (4-5-3) will play at 3A Fort Vancouver on Tuesday.
