ABERDEEN — Despite allowing six hits and committing four errors, the Warriors were able to pull out the victory with no damage done in a 5-0 Evergreen 2A/1A League baseball victory over Aberdeen here on Friday.

Wyatt Singer led the Warriors with a 2-for-4, 2-RBI performance at the plate. Curtis Haley knocked in 2 runs via a single and a sac fly while Andy Sommer and Josh Larson each went 2 for 4, as well.

"We played pretty well," Rochester coach Jerry Striegel said. "We had four errors but they were inconsequential. The game went just a little over an hour and a half. It was just a bang-bang sort of game and it kind of went our way."

Striegel praised the work of pitcher Brandon Rogers, who went the distance for the Warriors. Rogers struck out three and walked four, but worked his way out of multiple potential scoring situations.

"Brandon got in trouble a couple time and was able to wiggle his way off," Striegel said. "He did a great job throwing today and he made them hit the ball where he wanted."

Rochester (6-4 league, 9-5 overall) will travel to Tenino for a crosstown rivalry game on Tuesday.
