SPOKANE — W.F. West’s Carly Noble made the Day 1 cut here Wednesday in the State 2A Girls Golf Tournament.
Noble shot a 96 over 18 holes at Meadowwood Golf Course, sitting in 35th place at the end of the first round.
Centralia's Julie Mettler missed the cut by two strokes, shooting a 98. Ephrata’s Kenedee Peters led all golfers with a 71 at the end of Wednesday’s first round.
Meanwhile, at Liberty Lake, Ephrata's Aaron Whalen shot a 66 to lead the field at the State 2A Boys Golf Tournament on Wednesday.
Centralia's Deter Voetberg and W.F. West's Will Alexander each shot 82 over 18 holes, but missed the Day 1 cut by two strokes.
Centralia's Tucker Voetberg shot an 88.
Tournaments will wrap up with another round of 18 today at each classification's tournament site.
