OLYMPIA — Rochester managed five hits, but couldn’t capitalize in its junior American Legion baseball opener here on Tuesday.
Cole Wintrip had two hits for Rochester, while Chase Edminster added a hit and Bradden Schneider and Aaron Huff each hit doubles.
“It was our first game of the summer. It looked like we hadn’t played in a couple weeks,” Rochester coach Brad Quarnstrom said. “The pitchers, at times, struggled to throw strikes, but all in all we looked alright.”
Rochester will host Chehalis Sobe-Toyota at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
