The Lady Bearcat golf crew made short work of Mark Morris Monday afternoon at Newaukum Valley Golf Course, putting away the Monarchs 70-24 in nonleague competition.
The match, scored via the Stableford system, was highlighted by a nine-hole score of 48 by W.F. West’s Carly Noble.
Kate Balmelli shot a 51, Shasta Lofgren carded a 57 and Heather Wilson fired a 58 for W.F. West, all of which were under their nine-hole averages for the season, according to coach Bruce Thompson.
Robin Fletcher shot a 72, and on the JV side Emily Burton shot a 75 and Hiedi Wilson shot a 78.
W.F. West will have two weeks off — including spring break — before returning to action to host Montesano in a nonleague contest, back at Newaukum Valley.
