ABERDEEN — Rochester’s Lexi Jones-Sederberg scored 28 points to lead the Warriors to a 77-59 win over Aberdeen in an Evergreen 2A Conference girls basketball game here on Friday.

Paige Winter added a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Madison Bates added 12 points.

The Warriors made 24 of 39 free throws, including Jones-Sederberg making 11 of 13 from the line.

Rochester led 17-9 after the first quarter and expanded the lead to 38-25 at halftime. It was all Warriors in the second half, outscoring the Bobcats 39-34.

“We did a better job of attacking the basket and rebounding on the offensive side, giving ourselves second and third chances. Anytime a team does that, you give yourself a chance to get to the free throw line,” Rochester coach A.J. Easley said. “Sederberg played the best game I’ve ever seen her play. She just did a good job, all of our kids did a good job of not only attacking but being a threat on offense.”

Rochester (5-9, 1-3) travels to Tumwater on Tuesday to face Black Hills in an EvCo game.
