2A Football: Eagles Soar Past Rochester

ROCHESTER — The Warriors couldn’t get anything going against Elma here on Friday as the Eagles cruised to a 63-14 win in a non-league football game.

“We just missed a lot of opportunities on both sides of the ball,” Rochester coach John Moorhead said. “A lack of execution is really the name of our game. Elma capitalized on their opportunities. The opportunities we had, we swatted away.”

In spite of the loss, Moorhead highlighted the play of Garrett Glazer at linebacker. Moorhead noted the Warriors missed three touchdown passes in the first 10 minutes of the game.

“Any time they had a crease, they capitalized. We left a lot of big plays on the board,” Moorhead said. “They outplayed us on special teams. That’s kind of the way the game went, it got out of hand, we couldn’t make a tackle.”

Rochester (1-1) will try to bounce back next Friday against Bremerton in Rochester.
