ABERDEEN — The Bobcats had two weeks to prepare for Centralia and they were ready, earning a 46-30 win in an Evergreen 2A Conference football game here on Friday.

Centralia’s Braidyn Hoyt had 205 yards on 23 carries and Chase Sobolesky-Reynolds had 41 yards on nine carries. Quarterback Cameron Erickson completed 3-of-14 passes for 82 yards and Benito Valencia caught one pass for 38 yards.

Aberdeen’s Ethan Morrill ran for 181 yards on 30 carries and Connar Sherman had 10 carries for 81 yards.

Aberdeen had 426 yards of total offense while Centralia recorded 344 yards of total offense.

“At times, they were brilliant. I did a (bleep) job of preparing this week. They had two weeks to prepare. They ran stuff we had never seen and ran it well,” Centralia coach Jeremy Thibault said. “I’ll take the fault for this one. We had two TDs that the officials were incomplete passes, my whole sideline disagrees.”

Thibault highlighted Hoyt’s performance running the ball and Jacob Halseth’s performance on defense.

Centralia (3-2, 0-1) hosts Black Hills next Friday in an EvCo game.
