2A/1A Softball: Rochester’s Lancasters Win Evergreen MVPs

Rochester twin seniors Joni and Jaelin Lancaster each won MVP awards in the Evergreen 2A/1A Conference’s All-League softball voting.

Joni, a shortstop, was tabbed the league’s co-Offensive MVP with Hoquiam’s Kylie Stewart, while Jaelin, a pitcher/first baseman, was voted the league’s Defensive MVP.

Joni Lancaster hit .556 with 36 RBIs, five doubles, four triples and six home runs.



Jaelin Lancaster hit .440 with 11 doubles and 25 RBIs from the leadoff spot, and played the entire season without committing an error. She went 10-0 in the pitcher’s circle.

Rochester also picked up the Coaching Staff of the Year award, and landed sophomore infielder Bella Phelps, sophomore outfielder Courtney Baird and sophomore utility player Hunter Hahn (catcher) on the first team.
