ROCHESTER—Elma opened up a three-goal lead by halftime, and the Warriors never recovered, falling 4-1 in an Evergreen 2A/1A League game here Friday.

“We played better in the first half, just couldn’t get enough on the net,” Rochester coach Brian Ziese said. “We couldn’t get it done in the second half.”

Jesus Torres scored for Rochester in the 50th minute to bring the Warriors to within two goals.

“Isaac Garcia had a great game for us on defense,” Ziese said. “Kevin McLernan did too, playing D and mid.”

Rochester is now 6-8 overall and 6-6 in league. The Warriors play at Tenino on Tuesday in another EvCo matchup.

Note: In the JV game, Rochester defeated Elma 2-0.
