Rochester Motorcyclist Killed in Chehalis Crash

A 57-year-old Rochester man was killed Monday afternoon when his motorcycle collided head on with a truck on Forest Napavine Road south of Chehalis.

The man’s name has not yet been released by the Lewis County Coroner’s Office.

At about 4:55 p.m. Monday, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, the motorcyclist was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson traveling westbound on Forest Napavine Road East.



A truck and trailer traveling eastbound on Forest Napavine Road turned onto Kirkland Road. The motorcyclist reportedly tried to ride around the truck when he collided with an eastbound Ford F-150 truck head on.

The motorcyclist was ejected. He was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital but later died, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office and Washington State Patrol are investigating the crash.
