Centralia Police Department

Stolen Firearm, Possession

• Ammahad Bradley, 19, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of a controlled substance and a stolen firearm on the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue at 12:37 p.m. Monday. 

Vehicle Prowl                                                           

• A car stereo was stolen during an apparent vehicle prowl on the 1100 block of Roosevelt Avenue. The vehicle prowl was reported at 1:39 p.m. Monday.

Driving Under Influence

• Alexandros N. Ganas, 25, of Centralia, was arrested and released on suspicion of DUI. He was involved in a multi-vehicle collision on the 1100 block of Alder Street at approximately 7 p.m. Monday. Three people were transported to Providence Centralia Hospital to be treated for unspecified injuries, according to the Riverside Fire Authority.   

Burglary

• A video game console was stolen during an apparent burglary on the 200 block of South Diamond Street. The stolen item was reported at 1:02 a.m. Monday.     

• An unknown suspect broke into a business on the 1300 block of Lum Road and attempted to remove the safe, but failed. The suspect left without the safe, and left evidence behind. The case is under investigation. The burglary was reported at 5:50 a.m.

Chehalis Police Department

Funny Money

• An employee at the AM/PM on Interstate Avenue in Chehalis reported a customer’s use of a counterfeit $10 bill at 10:38 p.m. Monday.

Theft

• A Huffy bicycle was reported stolen on the 500 block of Southwest 18th Street at 5:39 p.m. Monday.

Credit Card Fraud

• A woman reported that her credit card was stolen in Portland where she lives and works, but was used in Chehalis within four minutes of being used in Portland. The apparent fraud was reported at 3:25 p.m. Monday.

Pot Drop

• An employee at Safeway in Chehalis reported finding a bag of marijuana by a checkout stand Saturday just before 11 p.m. The person suspected of dropping it has already left the store.

Suspicious Canisters

• A man reported finding three propane tanks behind a business on the 1500 block of Louisiana Avenue. One was cracked open, and the man believed they were purposely placed near where employees smoke. No arrests were made. The report was made at 10:58 a.m. Saturday.

Animal Negligence

• A passerby reported seeing seven dogs inside a car at the Lewis County Mall Friday just before 4 p.m., and said the car and dogs were covered in feces. No arrests were made.

Vehicle Prowl

• A vehicle prowl was reported at the park and ride on West Main Street Saturday at 11:24 a.m.

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

• Andrew Joseph Holmgren, 20, transient, was arrested Monday on suspicion of trafficking stolen property following an investigation into vehicle prowls in the Winlock area Jan. 17. A man reported two vehicles were broken into on the 100 block of Johnson Road in Winlock Jan. 17. Holmgren was arrested after police obtained video surveillance from a business where he allegedly used gift cards stolen during the vehicle prowls. Holmgren was booked into Lewis County Jail.

Lewis County Jail

• Total inmate population as of early this morning: 171 inmates; 140 are men and 31 are women. Five are work release inmates. Thirteen are on electronic home monitoring and none are day reporting. Thirty-eight are contract bed inmates from agencies outside the local area. In the past 24 hours, as of early this morning, 12 people were booked into the jail and 14 were released.
