Letter to the Editor: Why Did We Vote on I-976?

Posted

We vote to express our wishes on the ballots. When the ballots are counted and our wishes win, it is telling the authorities that is the way we want our laws to be.

However, some if not all of the authorities seem to think they can change our wishes to what they want, or to what somebody says will be better and they get a pocket full. When are these people going to learn that they are elected by the people and can be voted out on the next election. It is high time that the people take action to get rid of these people and elect another person to do their job. If this doesn’t work, one of two things could happen. People will quit voting (not the American way) or we could see situations like in China.

I call on voters to take action.
