I am proud to support nurses and other healthcare workers across Washington who are fighting for better patient safety and better working conditions. Every member of our community should support the demands that Providence offer their employees a fair contract, because the conditions they work in are the conditions we are healed in. Providence has billions of dollars in revenue, and there is no reason it should attempting to save money by attacking the livelihoods of nurses, orderlies, and other hospital staff.

Providence should give their workers a fair contract now.

Of course there are such reasons. Billions of them. This isn't a single payer healthcare system, it's a for-profit hospital. Profit is what capitalism is about. Your neighbors make it plain how much they fear socialism. This situation is EXACTLY what you get with capitalist medicine. Only when enough of them die as a result of that fear will this change.
