I think it is very important to re-elect Jami Lund to the Centralia School Board.
He is highly qualified to serve in this capacity. He went to Western Washington University to get a Master’s Degree in public policy, has worked for the state on education policy, and he has served as an educator in public and private schools.
He also happens to take a very balanced approach to school district business. Lund advocates for the services families get. I know he has been fighting for students who are often forgotten—English Language Learners, students at Futurus alternative high school, and those who are falling behind.
Lund also stands for taxpayers. As the district faces a very large budget deficit, the solution should not be to plunder taxpayers and renters. Without the balanced and thoughtful approach he offers, I would not trust the board to find the best solutions to the huge budget problems next year.
So let’s put Jami Lund back on the school board to look after the interests of families, students and taxpayers.
