We seem to have a problem of great magnitude. But there’s such controversy; so many heated debates of the “wall,” illegal aliens, those that enter our country without a green card, those with green cards that don’t return to their native country and those that commit crimes that are deported and found back in our country again and again.
In 1935, Roosevelt created the WPA, or Work Project Administration, which put our country’s men to work so families could survive and men could once again feel self worth.
We should be able to learn from what worked in the past and reinvent the WPA putting those in our country that are here illegally to work, shoring up our ailing bridges and roads for example. It worked for Roosevelt, and if we want to go back further in history, it worked for Solomon.
King Solomon numbered the aliens in Israel and put 153,600 of them to work, according to II Chronicles 2:17-18.
