Just wondering about Initiative 1639.
If the people voted in favor of this and it is now law and some sheriffs are not going to implement it, aren’t they therefore breaking the law and should be dismissed?
Same sort of thing is happening in the UK with Brexit — the people voted to bail out of the EU but the politicians aren’t taking notice of the public vote.
The trouble is, of course, that neither the US nor the UK have compulsory voting as does Australia.
I wonder how many of the protesters actually voted.
