We’re not supposed to create more questions when we publish stories in The Chronicle.
We failed in that regard in Tuesday’s edition. A story on page Main 5 told of the state’s request for input on a plan for potential oil spills from rail lines running through Southwest Washington.
Unfortunately, we did not include a link to the actual plan, which of course would be helpful to a reader looking to provide input.
The plan — hundreds of pages of information and graphics— is now available for viewing online at http://tinyurl.com/o7fqptw.
Drop us a line if you have questions. We’re working on a larger analysis of the plan as oil moves through our region in larger volumes.
We continue to seek answers on a CenturyLink telephone outage still affecting more than 1,000 Centralia area residents.
It has been more than a week since a construction crew clipped a line, knocking out service.
In an age of cellphones, it’s easy for some to consider the issue a minor inconvenience, but it is much more than that for many.
According to the Pew Research Center, about 10 percent of Americans have no access to a mobile phone. Many of those people are older, and now have no way to dial 911.
We’ll have more Saturday, but see a brief update on page Main 3.
