On Aug. 12, 2015, Vic tragically lost his life due to a train accident in Centralia. Vic was born March 20, 1943 in Selfridge, North Dakota to Roy and Irene Bonagofski, the 10th of 14 children.
Vic grew up in Centralia, graduating from Centralia High School, prior to getting a bachelor of arts in business from Seattle University. He served a brief stint in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper and was honorably discharged so that he could complete his education. After college, he started an auto wrecking yard, which he ran for many years before getting into the recycling business.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Vic is survived by five brothers, six sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, with interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
