Timothy Michael Stone, 47, of Gastonia passed away Dec. 2, 2019. He was born Feb. 15, 1972, in New Hampshire, a son of Michael James Stone and Barbara Terry Stone of Chehalis, Wash.
Timothy was a website designer and worked in cyber security with a degree in information and web technologies. He enjoyed playing guitar, reading and raising Dobermans. Tim was an avid football fan, especially of the Carolina Panthers.
In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by his wife of 20 years, Missy Stone; daughter, Erin Stone; sister, Terri Van Vleck (Richard); brother, Todd Stone (Shannon); maternal grandmother, Lois Terry; nephews, Christopher, David, Jonathan and Stephen Van Vleck; and niece, Bella Stone.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Naomi Stone, and Ray and Lucia Terry.
A memorial service will be held in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019. The family will receive friends following the service.
