Having been raised on a dairy, she started cooking for the workers at a very young age and was an excellent cook. Theola also enjoyed watching baseball from the days of her childhood, where her father would take the family to watch the old Pacific Coast League San Diego Padres. In later years, she enjoyed watching the Seattle Mariners.

Theola passed away looking forward to the Bible’s promise of John 5:28,29, where it says, “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” And Psalms 37:29, “The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it.”
