Terrence “Terry” Jay, 57, son of Edward and Edith (Bond) Jay, passed away peacefully at his home in Centralia, Wash., Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019.

Terry was born in Chehalis, Wash., April 27, 1962. He graduated from W.F. West High School in 1983, and worked for many years at Reliable Enterprises. Terry had a sweet and gentle spirit and such an infectious giggle! You simply could not help but join him in laughter once you heard that giggle!

Terry loved watching movies on VHS and had quite a large collection! Some favorites were “White Christmas”, “Tootsie”, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and all musicals! He was also a big Seahawk fan, proudly displaying his beloved Seahawk flag!

Terry is survived by his dad, Edward Jay; fraternal twin brother, Larry Jay; sister, Kelly Vanasse; nieces, Makayla Vanasse and Kaytlyn Vanasse; nephew, Garrett Jay; and numerous aunts; uncles; and cousins.

Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Edith (Eydie) Jay in 1998.

Our sincere appreciation goes to Ambitions of Washington for their excellent care. Terry was very loved by all he came in contact with, but especially Margaret Wayman, Alexis Patterson, Brenda Brown, Courtney Moyer, Beverly Chester, Chelsea Calder, Kim Schindler, Debra Reidy and Dave Stiner. These wonderful people went above and beyond to make sure Terry was well cared for and most importantly loved! We can’t thank you all enough!

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m., Dec. 12, 2019, at Newell-Hoerling’s Mortuary Chapel, 205 W. Pine St., Centralia, WA 98531.
