Sandra Lee Zinser, 65, of Longview, passed away peacefully the morning of Jan. 27, 2017.

She was born June 23, 1951, and was formally of Deer Island, Ore.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 21 years, Denniss E. Zinser; daughter, Tammy Grimes; son-in-law, Lenny; three grandchildren, Mindi Jones, TJ Jones and Drew Grimes; three siblings, Chuck Baese, Deleen Ward and Levi Baese Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Olson; parents, Levi and Mary Baese and Delbert Fitzgerald; and an aunt, Clara Gibson.

Sandy graduated from St. Helen’s High School and retired from PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center, where she was an emergency room technician for 12 years. She enjoyed trips to the beach, fishing, playing cards, spending time with family and friends, feeding a variety of wildlife in her back yard and breakfast dates with her friends. Most of all, Sandy loved her pugs, also known as her children. She will be remembered best for her giving heart and ability to speak her mind.

A celebration of Sandy’s life is planned for 2 p.m., Feb. 25, 2017, at the Regent Chinese Restaurant, 3353 Washington Way, Longview, Wash.
