Roy Edwin Fenstermaker of Winlock, Wash., passed away peacefully at the age of 82. He was born to Ralph and Cleo Fenstermaker April 19, 1936, in Findlay, Ohio. He met and married his loving wife, Sara Elizabeth Fenstermaker of Winlock in 1956, in Phoenix, Ariz., and started a family. Roy and Sara had three children, Rod, Susan and Cathy. He was a mechanical engineer in the field of aerospace and also owned and operated Sound Tax and Collectors, he later retired in Winlock. He loved his family and friends very much and enjoyed playing cards, square dancing and gardening. 

Roy is survived by his wife, Sara; three children, Rod (Karen) Fenstermaker of Winlock, Susan Rice of Olympia and Cathy (Mitch) McKnight of Winlock; sister, Carol Fox of San Diego, Calif.; sister-in-law, Mary Howard of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Russ (Evyonne) Fenstermaker, Ryan (Lakisha) Fenstermaker, Mason Rice, Brad (Sydni) Rice, David (Cassie) Rice, Matt (Amber) McKnight, Mike (Sara) McKnight, Mark (Marissa) McKnight and AJ McKnight; great-grandchildren, Chris McKnight, Tim McKnight, Lynn McKnight, Owen Rice and Jax Rice; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In honor of Roy, a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at the United Methodist Church with a reception to follow officiated by Pastor Steve Caskey, 107 NW Benton Ave Winlock, WA 98596. Arrangements are under the care of Cattermole Funeral Home, Winlock.
