Ronald Edward Clevenger, 61, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019, at his home in Glenoma, Wash. Ron was born in Morton, Wash., March 9, 1958, to parents, Merle and Betty Clevenger, who both preceded him in death. Ron was a lifelong resident of Glenoma, Wash.

He is survived by his three sons, Joseph, Josh and Jon Clevenger; and three sisters, Carol Reed, Sandra Bauer and Tonya Rech; along with many friends.

Ron graduated from White Pass Jr. Sr. High School in 1976, and in 1979, started a long career with Cowlitz Stud and later with Hampton Lumber in Morton. Along the way, Ron learned to cut cedar with his dad, Merle and carried on the hardworking tradition. Ron had a great fondness for the mountains and outdoors and found a great joy in working hard and spending time with his family in the woods.

Along the way, Ron knew how to have a good time in life. Usually for those he was close to, he would nickname people funny names. With Ron, people knew where they stood. He enjoyed spending time camping, clam digging and fishing. Ron was a valued member of the team at Hampton Lumber, known for a great work ethic and reliability.

He will be greatly missed as a father and as a friend to many people. A visitation will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 10 a.m., at the Jesus Name Church in Glenoma. A church service will be held at 11 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Rainey Valley Cemetery in Glenoma.
