Ronald A. Newman

With the love of his life by his side, Ronald A. Newman went to be with his Lord Sept. 2, 2019. Ron was born Nov. 15, 1938, to Reinhold and Kathryn Newman.

After graduating from Rochester High School, he joined the United States Marines. While attaining a rank of corporal, Ron learned what would be his lifelong profession. Ron and Aileen owned and operated many businesses in the Centralia and Olympia area, such as the Main Street Market, Midway Meats and Newman’s Custom Cutting, as well as the family farm near Scott Lake. Ron was liked, loved and respected by the community and was always giving to families in need never expecting a pat on the back.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; two beautiful daughters, Debra and Dianne; and his sister, Mary Jo (Borden).

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Aileen; sister, Betty Ann (Curry); brother, Robert; step-daughters, Denise (Anderson) and Edie (Bottemiller); step-son, Dennis; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Honoring Ron’s wishes, there will be no public service. He hoped that when you think of him it would put a smile on your face. Ron would like any remembrances of him to be made to the Littlerock United Methodist Church. We thank God for putting him in our lives. He will be forever missed but never forgotten.
