Robert L. (Bobby) Sanda

Robert L. (Bobby) Sanda, 89, passed away June 12, 2019, in Olympia, Wash. He was born in Larimore, N.D., Dec. 8, 1929, to Arvid and Blanche Nusviken.

Robert began his career as a mechanic working in his adoptive father’s business in Hatton, N. D. In 1955, he was married to Marlyce Gravdahl. Later, Robert moved to Minnesota and became a heavy equipment mechanic for the Reserve Mining Company.  In 1972, he moved his wife and two sons to Tenino, Wash., and worked for the Centralia Mining Company at the Centralia Steam Plant until his retirement in 1990.

Robert spent the last several years in residence at Chehalis West Assisted Living, where his wife passed away in 2012.

He is survived by his two sons, Brian of Olympia and Leslie of Napavine; and two sisters, Cheryl Crews of Jacksonville, Fla., and Karen Doman of Pittsburgh, Pa.
