My beloved sister, Phyllis Weyen passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, at Providence Centralia Hospital. She was born Nov. 15, 1931, to Henry and Christina Weyen of Espanola, Wash.

Phyllis graduated from Reardan High School in 1949, and attended business school In Spokane, Wash. She started working in Spokane and then moved to Seattle and was a resident there for over 40 years before moving to her sister and husband’s farm at Silver Creek. Phyllis was an accountant all her working career and most was in publishing and retailing.

She is survived by her sister, Joanne “Jo” Plant of Silver Creek, Wash. Her sister would like to thank the Salkum Fire Department for their kindness as well as Providence Centralia Hospital staff, the Palliative care staff and the No One Dies Alone (NODA) volunteers who sat with Phyllis every evening.

There will be a graveside service for Phyllis at the Salkum Cemetery, Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at 12 p.m., with Pastor Mathew March of St. John Lutheran Church officiating. A luncheon will be provided at St. Yves Catholic Church Hall in Mossyrock. Arrangements are under the care of Cattermole Funeral Home, Winlock.
