Phillip Richard Gregg, 68, peacefully passed away at his home April 6, 2019, after battling cancer. He was born July 14, 1950, in Cascade, Idaho.

Phil was raised in Seattle and attended Ballard High School, where he was active in drama. At 18, he joined the United States Army and served at Fort Lewis, Wash., and Fort Knox, Ky. Phil later worked at Boeing in Seattle and farmed and broke horses in Utah. He also owned a Mack semi-truck and did long hauls across the lower 48. Phil then moved to Centralia, where he retired from Security State Bank after 13 years and was the manager of Nylandia Mobile Home Park.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Betty Rose Merrit.

Phil is survived by his wife, Sylvia Lynn Wood; daughter, Dyann Gregg of Tacoma, Wash.; brother, Rob Gregg of Puyallup; and sister, Sharry Harper of Delta, Utah.
