Pauline M. (Pearce) Mandery

Pauline M. (Pearce) Mandery, 89, passed away peacefully Nov. 2, 2017, in Federal Way, Wash., following her struggle with cancer. She was born Feb. 10, 1928, to Paul and Mabel (Curtis) Pearce in Centralia, Wash.  

Pauline enjoyed many activities; raising a family, cooking, sewing and trailer camping.  She held the office of church secretary at both Church of the Brethren in Lacey and First Baptist Church in Puyallup, where she remained a member until her death.  Pauline also enjoyed working during the Washington State Fair.  While living in Centralia, she enjoyed singing with the Song Birds.  Pauline has lived in Tenino, Lacey, Puyallup, Centralia, Rochester and Milton, Wash.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Earl;  children, Fred (Gloria), Phyllis (Jim) Meyerhoff and Jim (Di) Mandery;  grandchildren, Jim (Dawn) Meyerhoff, Christopher (Siiri), Justin (Christianna), Jacob (Brandi), Kaylee and Jordyn Mandery;  great-grandchildren, Angela (Thomas Wester) and Tyler Meyerhoff, Liam, Kassidy, Nolan and Hunter Mandery;  and great-great-grandchild, Cormac Wester. Pauline was one of nine children,  she is survived by sisters, Clara Knause of Centralia, Nancy Scott of Rochester, Alice Schiveley of Bainbridge Island; and brother, Vernon Pearce of Tumwater.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Hazel Evey; and brothers, Ronald, Ralph and Darwin Pearce.

A memorial celebration of life for Pauline will be held Dec. 28, 2017, at 11 a.m., at the Olympia-Lacey Church of God in Lacey, Wash. All who knew her in life are invited.
