Michael R. Sherman

Michael R. Sherman passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at Madigan Army Medical Center, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was born April 30, 1947, in Traverse City, Mich., but Washington was his home.

Michael was a Vietnam Veteran and was very proud to have served his country. He met and married his wife in Germany and they were married for 46 years before her passing in 2014. After retiring from the military and serving proud for 22 years, Michael went on to work in the Chehalis Lumber Yard. He then went on to college and graduated from Centralia College with honors and his associate of arts degree.

Michael was preceded in death by his loving wife, Geri; mother, Joyce Sherman; and brother, Richard Sherman.

He is survived by his son, Michael D. Sherman and wife, Barbara Sherman of Chehalis, Wash.; daughter, Laura Bradshaw and husband, Rile Bradshaw of Billings, Mont.; four grandchildren, Sarah Miller and husband, Dustin Miller of Chehalis, Wash., John Sherman and girlfriend, Alejandra Montelongo of Chehalis, Wash., Marissa Bradshaw and fiancé, Tristen Gipson and his two great-grandchildren, Jack and Scarlett Gipson, all of Billings, Mont., and Ariel-Rae Bradshaw and boyfriend, Kyle Wolfe of Chehalis, Wash.; and three sisters, Sue Lanford of Florida, Sherri Lepere of Texas and Judy Good of Idaho.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held Saturday, May 2, 2020. Time and location to be announced.
