Maxine Delores (Lowe) Withrow, 93, passed away Aug. 20, 2018, at a facility in Springfield, Ore. She was born Nov. 1, 1924, in Forest, Wash., to Jesse and Stella Lowe.
Maxine was one of seven girls and one boy. She was raised in Toledo, Wash., and attended schools there. Later on, Maxine married and had three children, first was to Frank Haggard and they lived in Toledo, later to Willard Withrow, both deceased. Withrow’s work took them to Ryderwood, Wash., then in 1955, to Reedsport, Ore. After the death of her husband, she moved to Springfield, Ore., where she lived the remainder of her life.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Margarete Blair, Catharine Lindberg, Julia Hockett, Blanche Olsen; and brother, Tom Lowe.
She is survived by her children, Don Withrow (Iva Moon), Bob Haggard (Cindy) and Marlene Withrow Strickland; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bummy Yantis (Herb) of Chehalis, Wash., and Pat Bibeau of Marysville, Wash.; sister-in-law, Rita Lowe of Dexter, Ore.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Maxine was a very friendly, fun loving person and loved to laugh and dance. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all.
A cremation memorial is being planned for the near future.
