Marie Ellen Barnett Denning passed away peacefully Oct. 15, 2018, at Providence Centralia Hospital at the age of 83. Marie was born to her loving parents, Franklyn Guy Barnett and Ruth Parthena Briggs Barnett May 9, 1935, in Seattle, Wash.
Marie met her true love, Jay Moss Denning at a dance hall and they were married Feb. 28, 1951. Marie and Jay started their family and had two children, Franklyn Denning and Anna Denning Adams. Marie and Jay were blessed with 10 grandchildren. Other than the love for her family, Marie loved handwork and was known for her beautiful knitting abilities.
Marie’s husband, Jay passed away Sept. 1, 2018, six weeks before her passing. A private family service will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Wash., where Jay and Marie will be laid to rest. Arrangements are under the care of Cattermole Funeral Home, Winlock.
