Leslie Richard Lindau, 59, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus, May 27, 2018, at Swedish Hospital from colon cancer. He was born Feb. 10, 1959, in St. Helens Hospital in Chehalis, Wash., to Bud and Mary Lindau.

Les attended Onalaska school and was an avid fisherman, loved to play poker with his friends and enjoyed watching football and basketball games.

He lived a simple life and had worked as a logger over the years for several local logging companies. Les had an appreciation for art and a creative eye for ideas for crafts and projects around the home. He loved throwing some clay on his pottery wheel and became quite good at it. Les enjoyed doing tractor work on the family farm and helping out whenever needed, especially since he had a knack for fixing broken farm equipment.

Les was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph "Bud" and Mary Lindau; brother, Arnold Lindau; and his son, Christopher Kinison.

He is survived by his sisters, Esther Lindau-Williams (Ronald) of Onalaska and Denise Schupbach of Montesano; brother, Bud Lindau Jr. (Jan) of Cameron Park, Calif., stepdaughters, January Stumph-Martinez of Centralia and Nicole Wood (Jeremiah) Havelock, N.C.; and his constant friend and companion, his dog, Remington; nieces and nephews, will miss their “Uncle Les” who taught them to fish, catch snakes and drive the tractor. His sense of humor and pranks will be missed by all of us.

There will be a celebration of life will be held July 28, 2018, at 3 p.m., at “Kearney Kove” located off Frase Rd., Onalaska, Wash.
