Larry F. Schlittler

Larry left us to be with his Heavenly Father Aug. 13, 2018, at The Cottage in the Meadow in Yakima, Wash. He was born Aug. 17, 1940, in Chehalis, Wash., to Fred and Elsie Schlittler.

Larry graduated in 1959, from W. F. West High School in Chehalis, and then attended Centralia College in Centralia, Wash. 

At an early age, Larry had a paper route delivering The Chronicle newspaper. During high school, he was employed by Fullers Market Basket in Chehalis. He made a career working in retail sales. After returning to Chehalis, he was once again working at Fullers, then was employed by Classic Distributing and eventually was the manager of West Coast Fruit and Produce. In the late 1990's, Larry formed a partnership with Gary Hodges and together they started Northwest Builders Plus Inc. After retiring, Larry and his wife, Yvonne relocated to Selah, Wash. 

Larry was a true outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing and camping with his family and friends. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was blessed with many good friends. 

Larry is survived by his wife, Yvonne of 44 years; sons, Bruce Schlittler of Knoxville Tenn., and Dan (Kim) Schlittler of Centralia, Wash.; daughter, Stacey (Jason) Jones of Selah, Wash.; brother, Ron Schlittler of Steamboat Island, Wash.; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, extended family's grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his uncle, Don Young; and several cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beverly Slinker; and stepson, Stuart Bachman.
