Kurt Leroy Aust was born Aug. 13, 1951, passed into the arms of our Lord June 23, 2018. Kurt was born to Gilbert and Lola Aust at St Helens Hospital in Chehalis, Wash.

He grew up on the family dairy farm in Mossyrock, Wash. Kurt was a natural born logger, working most of his adult life in the woods in all aspects of the logging trade. Kurt enjoyed nature, collecting artifacts, antiques and the company of friends and family. 

He married the love of his life, Sandra Kay Armstrong April 22, 1978. Their love was so great they were remarried at the family home July 22, 2017. Kurt was known for his unwavering kindness, immense generosity, infectious laugh and the ability to bring love and laughter to all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Lola (Woods) Aust.

Kurt is survived by his wife, Sandra Kay Aust; daughter, Jennifer (James) Duryea; granddaughters, Alexis Duryea and Makala Duryea; great-grandchildren, Brylee Haenke and Broxson  Haenke: and siblings, Anabelle Hornby, Jenine Broshears, Greg Aust, Gaylen Aust, Vaughn Aust, Melanie Clowe and Lisa Galloway. 

Viewing will be held at Cattermole Funeral Home in Winlock, Wednesday, June 27, 2018, from 8 a.m., to 5 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018, at 11 a.m., at the Richland Valley Church of the Brethren in Mossyrock, with a graveside to immediately follow at Swofford Cemetery in Mossyrock.
