Kent Kilbourn passed away July 26, 2019, after an extended illness. He was born Aug. 25, 1934 to Basil and Elizabeth Kilbourn in Bakersfield, Calif.
Kent graduated from Castle Rock High School in 1952. He pursued additional education at Lower Columbia College and the University of Washington. Kent joined the United States Naval Reserves for several years and served active duty in the Navy from 1957 to 1959. He was employed at Boeing Company in Seattle and then at Uhlmann Auto and RV Company in Chehalis. Kent married Sharon Smith in 1955, and had been married for 64 years prior to his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Gail Pruett.
Kent is survived by his wife, Sharon (Smith); son, Kendall (Kristina) of Marysville; daughters, Jennifer of Portland, Ore., and Kristin (Vern) Roy of Chehalis; and four grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m., Aug. 10, 2019, at Peace Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to Assured Hospice Care for all the care and assistance they have provided.
