Judy Angela Jendryka passed away Dec. 3, 2019, with her children by her side. She was born Feb. 4, 1941, to Elmer and Esther (Valentine) Unterwegner. She grew up in the Adna area and attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Chehalis. Judy graduated from W.F. West High School in 1959. She was married in 1966, and had four children.

Judy was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chehalis. Her faith was a vital part of her life. Only sickness could keep her from attending Mass each week. The last several years she also attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Centralia, where she loved to watch her grandson as an altar server.

Judy’s grandchildren brought her the most joy in life. She often stated that her favorite time of life was when she babysat them before they started school, and then after school as they grew older. Whenever she was asked about her favorite thing to do, she always said, “spending time with my kids and grandkids”. She looked forward to family gatherings when all her family could be together. Family gatherings will never be the same without her. We know she will be smiling down on us from Heaven each time we are together.

Judy is survived by her children, Amy Jendryka, Cindy Jendryka-Wirkkala (Tony), and Mark Jendryka; grandchildren, Rhianon Hull, Zachary Wirkkala, Benjamin Wirkkala, Topher Jendryka, Matthew Jendryka, Johnathan Jendryka, Katelynn Jendryka, and Elysia Jendryka; and great-grandchildren, Ashton, Aubree, and Aydan Ives.

Judy was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jill Ann Jendryka.

A Rosary service will be held Monday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chehalis. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chehalis. A graveside service and reception will follow.
