Jovita Nino Flores of Chehalis, 84, passed away  Saturday, March 17, 2018, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

 She was born Feb. 15, 1934, in Alamo, Texas, the daughter of Isaias Nino and Antonia Alvarez. Jovita married her sweetheart, Jesus Balderas Flores April 17, 1956, in that same city.

She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who enjoyed dancing with her husband, gardening, embroidering, and collecting rocks and painting them. One of her favorite Mother’s Day trips was going out to DeGoede’s in Mossyrock to see the lovely flowers.

   Jovita was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus, in 2017; her parents; and sister, Angelita Reyes.

  She is survived by her son, Homero Flores; daughters, Marie ‘Cande’ (Roy Sr.) Triana, Odelia Alaniz, Cris Flores and Noelia Flores; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great- grandchildren.

 Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, 1437 S. Gold St, Centralia, followed by the Holy Rosary at the same location. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m, Thursday, March 22, 2018, also at Sticklin, with interment to follow at Grand Mound Cemetery in Rochester. Following interment, the family is hosting a potluck reception at 1:30 p.m., at St. Mary Church, 225 N. Washington Ave, Centralia.

Jovita’s family would like to thank the Hamilton family for their love and support through the years, and Ms. Phyllis McKeown for being such a special and dear friend.
