Jonathan Robert Angel

Jonathan Robert Angel, 63, of Tumwater, Wash., passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Wash. He was born in Prineville, Ore., July 15, 1956, to Bob Angel and Aileen Deggeller Carlson.

Jon attended school in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, from the first grade to the seventh grade and moved to Centralia, Wash. He graduated from Centralia High School in the class of 1974. Jon attended Clover Park Technical College. In 1977, he started working for the State of Washington with the Bellingham National Guard, moving back to the Centralia area where he worked in different positions, as a carpenter, truck driver and cable technician. He started working for South Puget Sound Community College in 2000, until he retired.

He loved music, especially his flute and guitar, along with his woodworking projects. Jon was a Seahawks fan and had a passion for watching auto racing, but most of all he loved his family. He married Tarin Missinne June 1, 1996, and together they had one son, Jonah.

Jon is survived by his son, Jonah Angel; mother, Aileen Carlson; brother, Tim (Helen) Angel; sister, Joni Angel; nephew, Aaron (Corie) Angel; niece, Audrey Angel; two great-nieces, Madeline and Annabelle Mortensen; and one great-nephew, Archer Angel.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Angel.

Those wishing to honor his memory may contribute to their favorite charity. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Funeral Home in Olympia, Wash.
