Janet Jean Thomas Koepke

Janet Jean Thomas Koepke was born in Seattle, Wash., to Russell Holm and Nelly Stensen.

She attended Northwest College in Kirkland, Wash., where she met her husband, Chris Thomas. They became missionaries to Malaysia and Singapore for 15 years. After returning home, Janet earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Washington and a masters degree from the School For International Training in Vermont. She then taught nine years for the University of Washington before working at World Relief with refugees. Janet married Alan Koepke in 2009.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Randy Huson; and husband, Chris Thomas.

She is survived by sisters, Maren Collins and Sherri Smith; sons, Paul, David and Steven Thomas; grandchildren, Mikah, Chrisdoss and Eli Thomas; and husband, Alan Koepke.

A celebration of Janet’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, at The Neighborhood Church, 625 140th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98005.
